LOCTITE® 542 is used for securing and sealing pipes and fittings and other cylindrical metal connections. The product cures under tight air between tight-fitting metal surfaces and prevents self-loosening and leaks due to shocks and vibrations. By virtue of its thixotropic behavior, LOCTITE 542 reduces migration of the liquid product after application to the part.
