WEICON DF 175 ist ein patentierter Gewinde-Dichtfaden aus 100% PTFE und dichtet nahezu alle Metall- und Kunststoffgewinde dauerhaft und sicher ab. WEICON DF 175 gleicht den Zwischenraum an den Gewinden zuverlässig aus und bildet beim Verschrauben einen PTFE-Film in der benötigten Stärke. Dieser Film ist extrem widerstandsfähig gegen beinahe alle Chemikalien, selbst agressivste Lösemittel, Laugen und Säuren. Nicht brennbar und in einem Temperaturbereich zwischen -200°C bis +240°C funktionssicher. Sehr ergiebig: Mit 1 Rolle lassen sich bis zu 20 Rollen PTFE-Band (12 mm x 0,1 mm x 12 m) ersetzen. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Abdichtungsmaterialien, bei denen das Gewebe lediglich als Träger für das eigentliche Dichtmittel dient, ist WEICON DF 175 selbst das Dichtmaterial. Eine Trennung von Träger- und Dichtungsmaterial über die Lebensdauer der Verschraubung ist somit ausgeschlossen. Unbegrenzt haltbar und bleibt immer weich und biegsam.
